TOP-100 (Radio) Hits of 2008
Radio Foorti's Yearly TOP-100 songs hitlist (Based on listener's vote). Singer & composer Habib was the most successful act in 2006 having 8 hits including the No. 1 song 'Bhalobashbo Bashbore Bondhu', Arnob, Bappa Majumder, Fuad & Hyder Husyn had equal 5 hits that year.
The following year (2007) composer Fuad Al Muqdatir was at the top spot with 16 hits to his credit, next 3 successful acts were Bappa Majumder (8 ), Tahsan (5) & Balam (4 hits including No. 1 'Lukochuri'). Arnob, Habib, ‘Bassbaba’ Sumon & Mila also had 4 hits in 'Top-100 of 2007'.
This year Fuad is still holding his crown with his magic touch in 19 of the 100-top-rated songs, former champ Habib follows him with 9 hits, other super hit performers are Arnob, Balam (both 7) & Topu (6 hits).
Most successfull albums of ‘08, producing 4 hits, are-Doob (Arnob), Balam II, Obosheshe (Habib), Bondhu Bhabo Ki (Fuad Ft. Bappa with rocker's
Bappa, Arnob, Fuad and Sumon come together for latest album
On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, Agniveena, (a sister concern of G-Series) has released the album "Bappa with the Rockers". The exclusive studio album brought together four of the most talented and popular musicians -- Bappa Majumder, "Bassbaba" Sumon, Fuad al Muqtadir, Arnob -- and winner of the first "D-Rockstar" contest Shuvo. The album promises something for everyone.
The album was launched at a city hotel recently, and saw a big turnout of renowned musicians, composers and singers. Among others, Fahmida Nabi, Mila, Milon Mahmud, Topu and Jahan (of Black) attended the event and expressed their best wishes for the album's success.
Talking about the album, Bappa Majumder said, “We had plans to bring out an album together for a long time. We often get together at adda. It feels great to be able to turn that plan into reality."
"Work on the album began in June and all along we planned to release it around Eid, as we wanted to give our fans something special," he added.
"The experience was unique, as my co-artistes -- Fuad, Arnob and Sumon -- are all accomplished musicians," Bappa smilingly said.
Sumon echoed the same view. To quote him, "It has been a real pleasure working together with these guys. Credit goes to Bappa bhai who has done a great job with the compositions. When he played the demo to us, we were all interested. It was just perfect."
The album contains two songs -- "Ghorir kata" and "Amar shathey chol" recorded by Fuad.
"When Bappa bhai approached me regarding the album, I was a little nervous, as I'm more accustomed to composing rather than singing. Thanks to him, his wonderful compositions and the team, everything went smoothly," said Fuad.
Other songs in the album are -- "Olot palot" and "Bhalo lagena" by Sumon; "Tomaye dekhey," "Hoyto ami" by Arnob; "Bhanga gora," "Chaichho jokhon" by Bappa and "Khunshuti," "Bhul janalaye" by Shuvo.
"Bappa bhai has effectively blended several genres -- mellow rock, pop and so on. Quality of the production is very good. Fans will hopefully like it," said Fuad.
"Most of the songs featured in the album are acoustic-based, so the listener should get a real taste of music," said Bappa.

প্রবাসী তরুণ গায়ক সাকিব জাকির। বহুদিন ধরে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে আছেন। পড়ালেখার পাশাপাশি সঙ্গীতটাকে ধরে রেখেছেন শখের বশে। গত বছর গায়ক তাহসান রহমান খান আমেরিকায় পড়তে গেলে, সেখানে সাকিবের সাথে তার পরিচয় ঘটে। প্রবাসী এই তরুণের সঙ্গীতের আলাদা মাধুর্য ছুঁয়ে যায় তাহসানকে। সেই কারণেই সাকিবের জন্য একটি গানে কথা ও সুর করেন তিনি। আর এভাবে তাহসানের সূত্র ধরেই বাংলাদেশে জি সিরিজের অঙ্গ প্রতিষ্ঠান অগি্নবীণার ব্যানারে সাকিব জাকিরের প্রথম একক অ্যালবাম 'সাকিব জাকির' প্রকাশিত হল।
অ্যালবামে গান রয়েছে ১০টি। এই অ্যালবামে গান লিখেছেন সেইন্ট আখুনজী ও শাহরিয়ার খান। আর ঘুম গানটি বাদে সবগুলো গানের সুর করেছেন সাকিব জাকির। তবে সাকিবের সাথে দুটি গানে সহ-সুরকার হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন মার্কিন সঙ্গীত শিল্পী এডাম ফ্রিশার্টয।

সমপ্রতি প্রযোজনা প্রতিষ্ঠান অগি্নবীণার ব্যানারে প্রকাশিত হল রাজীবের একক অ্যালবাম 'যদিও'। আর এ উপলক্ষ্যে ১০ আগস্ট সন্ধ্যায় রাজধানীর একটি হোটেলে অ্যালবামটির মোড়ক উন্মোচন অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে বিশেষ অতিথিদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ব্যান্ড শিল্পী আইয়ূব বাচ্চু, সংগীত পরিচালক শওকত আলী ইমন, সংগীত শিল্পী বাপ্পা মজুমদার, মিলন মাহমুদ, দিনাত জাহান মুনি্ন, গীতিকার কবির বকুল ও অগি্নবীণার কর্ণধার নাজমুল হক ভুঁইয়া। এছাড়াও ছিলেন শিল্পীর নিজের আত্মিয় ও বিভিন্ন গণমাধ্যমের কর্মীবৃন্দ।
অতিথিরা একে একে রাজীবকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন। তবে গতানুগতিক বক্তব্যের পাশাপাশি অতিথিরা পাইরেসির বিরুদ্ধে সোচ্চার হওয়ার জন্য সকলকে আহ্বান জানান। এক্ষেত্রে আইয়ূব বাচ্চু বলেন, "তা নাহলে পুরাতনরাতো অবশ্যই সেই সাথে নতুনরাও সংগীত ভূবন থেকে সরে দাঁড়াবে। কারণ পাইরেসির কারণে আজ আর্থিক ক্ষতির সম্মুখিন হচ্ছে প্রযোজনা সংস্থাগুলো, অচিরেই সেটার প্রভাব শিল্পীদের উপরেও এসে পড়বে।"
সকলের বক্তব্যের শেষে আইয়ূব বাচ্চুর সাথে মিলিত হয়ে সকলে মিলে 'যদিও' অ্যালবামের মোড়ক উন্মোচন করেন। উল্লেখ্য জি-সিরিজ ও অগি্নবীণা প্রযোজনা সংস্থার কোন অ্যালবাম মোড়ক উন্মোচন অনুষ্ঠানে এবারই প্রথম হাজির ছিলেন আইয়ূব বাচ্চু।
পুরো অনুষ্ঠানটি উপস্থাপনা করেন এনটিভি'র 'এই সপ্তাহের সংস্কৃতি' খ্যাত উপস্থাপিকা ফাতেমা আমিন হুমা।
আহমেদ রাজীবের দ্বিতীয় একক অ্যালবাম 'যদিও'। নিজের লেখা ও সুরে এসব গানের সংগীতায়োজন করেছেন বাপ্পা মজুমদার, ইবরার টিপু, শিহাব, রিপন ও হৃদয় খান। মেলো রক ও ফিউশন ঘরানার এসব গানগুলো হল ঃ মেঘকালো, আকাশ মাটি, কে?, বন্ধুত্ব, জোৎস্না গ্রহণ, চল চল, অ!!!, কল্পিত প্রতিশ্রুতি, প্রিয় বাংলাদেশ, কে?(বাপ্পা ভারশন)
গানের জগতে মোটেই নতুন নয় আহমেদ রাজীব। ছোটবেলা থেকেই বোনদের সাথে গান শিখতে শুরু করেন তিনি। পরে তবলা শিখতে শুরু করেন। দুই বছর তবলায় প্রশিক্ষণ নেন তিনি। কলেজ জীবনে গড়ে তোলেন নিজের ব্যান্ড। রাজীব ছিলেন সেই ব্যান্ডের লিড ভোকাল। ব্যান্ডের জন্য মৌলিক গান লেখা ও সুর করা শুরু করেন। সেখান থেকেই রাজীবের গান লেখা ও সুর করার উপর আগ্রহ বাড়তে থাকে। পরে পড়াশুনা ও অন্যান্য কাজের ব্যস্তায় ব্যান্ডটি ভেঙ্গে যায়। আর তারপরেই একক ক্যারিয়ার গড়ে তোলার জন্য ব্যস্ত হয়ে পড়েন এই শিল্পী। ২০০৪ সালে শুরু করেন প্রথম একক অ্যালবাম 'কাচের ছবি'র কাজ। সেই বছরেই প্রকাশিত হয় তার প্রথম অ্যালবামটি। রাজীবের নিজের লেখা ও সুরে সেই অ্যালবামের সংগীত পরিচালক ছিলেন আলী ইমন।
নিজের অ্যালবাম ছাড়াও অন্যদের অ্যালবামেও বেশ কিছু কাজ করেছেন রাজীব। এরমধ্যে
গীতিকার হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন, সায়মন, ক্লোজআপ ওয়ান খ্যাত সোনিয়া ও আরিফ, মধাবসহ বিভিন্ন জনের অ্যালবামে। সুরকার ও গীতিকার হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন নীলা নাজনিন, তিশাসহ বেশ কয়েকজনের অ্যালবামে।

মোনালিসা'র কিছু কথার গল্প
নতুন শিল্পীদের নিয়ে সবসময়ই কাজ করে যায় জি-সিরিজ ও অগি্নবীণা। এই ঈদের বাজারে বাণিজ্যিক অ্যালবামের ভিড়েও অগি্নবীণা প্রকাশ করলো নতুন শিল্পী মোনালিসার দ্বিতীয় অ্যালবাম কিছু কথার গল্প। অ্যালবামের গানগুলো হল- মন্দ কি আজ, উষ্ণ হাতে, তোমাকে ছেড়ে, হৃদয় খুঁড়ে তুমি, হিসেবের অংক খাতা, নিঃসঙ্গ কান্না, বেহিসেবী, সন্ধ্যাতারা, খেয়ালী মন, ফিরে দেখা, আকাশ ছোঁয়া। গানগুলোর সুরকার ও গীতিকাররা হলেন- তুষার, সজল, কে জিয়া, শামাউন শাফকাত, হুমায়রা মোর্শেদ, সুমন, বাপ্পী খান, শারমিন সুলতানা তন্বী ও লুৎফর হাসান। সবগুলো গানের সংগীতায়োজন করেছেন পারভেজ জুয়েল।
নতুন হলেও মোনালিসার প্রথম অ্যালবামটি প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল ২০০৫ সালে। তবে সেটি ছিল দেশাত্মবোধ গানের অ্যালবাম। কিছু কথার গল্প সেদিক দিয়ে এই শিল্পীর প্রথম একক মৌলিক অ্যালবাম।
ছোটবেলা থেকেই পারিবারিক আবহে গানের সাথে জড়িয়ে যান মোনালিসা। ১৯৮৭ সালে জাতীয় আঞ্চলিক শিশু শিল্পী প্রতিযোগিতায় একই সাথে গান এবং নাচে পুরস্কার পান। ছায়ানট থেকে এই শিল্পী নজরম্নল সংগীতের কোর্স সম্পূর্ণ করেন। জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নাটক ও নাট্যতত্ত্ব বিভাগের ছাত্রী হওয়াতে নাটকের জন্য বেশ অনেকগুলো তৈরি করেছেন তিনি। সেই সময়ই বন্ধু বান্ধবদের সূত্র ধরে তার পরিচয় হয় জিঙ্গেল গায়ক রেশাদের সাথে। আর তার হাত ধরেই মোনলিসা শুরম্ন করেন বিজ্ঞাপনের জিঙ্গেল গাওয়। এই শিল্পীর অন্যতম জিঙ্গেলটি হচ্ছে তিব্বত লিপ জেল এর - আজ আমার হারাবার নেই মানা, এসোনা পাখি হয়ে মেলি ডানা।
গান, অভিনয় ও নাচ ভাললাগার তিনটি বিষয় থেকে গানকে বেছে নিয়েছেন এই শিল্পী। জীবনের প্রেরণা হিসেবে আর গানের হাত ধরেই চলতে চান তার বাকিটা পথ।
